Event Description
Building on 25 years of promoting the importance of early childhood development, HELP is pleased to present this webinar tracking the developmental health of kindergarten children in BC and beyond. In particular, this webinar will focus on Early Development Instrument (EDI) data trends pre- and post-COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions, and ongoing social and economic influences. While disruptive for all, the early experiences of families with babies and young children during this period were unique. Recent data from the Childhood Experiences Questionnaire (CHEQ) — a questionnaire completed by parents/caregivers of kindergarten children about their experiences prior to school — and analysis linking early experiences with developmental outcomes will also be shared. Thank you for joining us for this engaging webinar with the urgent reminder that the early years matter.
