Event Description
Join us on National Child Day for this engaging webinar exploring Middle Years Development Instrument (MDI) data collected in the 2024-25 school year and over time for BC children in Grades 4 through 8 (ages 9-14). Dr. Eva Oberle will discuss MDI trends in well-being, screens and sleep, as well as new questions on the student survey including mental health service use. Recent MDI research findings will also be shared: Dr. Anne Gadermann and Dr. Emily Jenkins will highlight early findings from MDI research exploring questions about perceptions of climate change and the impact on the daily lives of middle years children. Additionally, Dr. Tonje Molyneux will review new MDI educator resources to support middle years students, empowering them to learn about and use MDI data towards action in their own school and community.
