Breann Corcoran is a PhD student in the School of Population and Public Health at UBC. She has 15 years of experience working with local health authorities in BC leading and supporting health promotion initiatives and healthy public policy. Through her recent work with BC Cancer Prevention & Screening, Breann has become increasingly interested in implementation research and is involved in several research studies to evaluate shade as an environmental design tool for skin cancer prevention in early childhood settings. Breann is pleased to have Dr. Mariana Brussoni as her supervisor and to be pursuing her research interests in outdoor play and neighbourhood design to support healthy child development.
