Dr. Christine Voss Joins HELP as Faculty Member
Dr. Voss is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and is primarily based at the UBC Centre for Chronic Disease Prevention and Management on the UBC Okanagan (UBCO) campus in Kelowna. She is also an Investigator with the British Columbia Children’s Hospital Research Institute and an Affiliate Investigator with Interior Health.

HELP Welcomes Dr. Nicole Catherine as Affiliate Faculty Member
Dr. Catherine is Assistant Professor and Associate Director of the Children’s Health Policy Centre in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University (SFU), and she also holds the Canada Research Chair Tier 2 in Child Health Equity and Policy. Her research focuses on the early prevention of child health inequities and on ensuring inclusion of underserved children — in both research and policy-making.

Dr. Brenda T. Poon, a faculty member at the Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP), is an Assistant Professor with UBC’s School of Population and Public Health and Research Department Lead at the Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility.

Dr. Carwana is a pediatrician and clinician-investigator at BC Children’s Hospital (BCCH). His research sits at the intersection of social justice, public health, and clinical pediatrics and seeks to improve quality of care and health outcomes for structurally marginalized children, youth and families.
