Aria is Laxskiik (Eagle Clan) of the Gitxsan Nation, with ancestral ties to the Ha’isla Nation, and mixed European ancestry. She lives and works as an uninvited guest on the unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh, and səlilwətaɬ Peoples.

Aria is a research assistant and is part of a partnered project between HELP and the Centre for Excellence in Indigenous Health (CEIH) on creating meaningful structures for Indigenous community and UBC health partnerships. She is currently working towards a BA in Political Science at UBC. Alongside her studies, she has had the privilege of pursuing her passion for Indigenous community outreach by working professionally in Indigenous-centered programs and spaces such as the Native Youth Program at Museum of Anthropology, the Summer Science Program at CEIH, and šxʷta:təχʷəm at the First Nations House of Learning.
