Jeremy Y’in Neduklhchulh Williams, ASC Member at HELP, Appointed New Role at BC Ministry of Children and Family Development

HELP is thrilled to celebrate the appointment of Jeremy Y’in Neduklhchulh Williams, Chair of the Aboriginal Steering Committee (ASC), to the new role of Assistant Deputy Minister and Indigenous Child Welfare Director (ICWD) at the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).

“We congratulate Jeremy in this well-deserved appointment,” says Dr. Mariana Brussoni, director at HELP. “We have been lucky to welcome Jeremy as a valued member of the ASC and guiding the work at HELP for a number of years, and we look forward to supporting him in his continued journey in advocating for First Nations, Inuit, and Metis guests and their children, youth, and families across the province.”

In a message to fellow Ministry contacts and partners, Keith Godin (Acting Deputy Minister of BC’s MCFD) noted that Jeremy’s appointment to is a new role and it is anticipated that the duties, responsibilities and functions of this new role, and division, will continue to be shaped by Jeremy according to his experience, expertise, and vision for the new office, along with ongoing conversations with Indigenous Rights Holders and partners.
