Dr. Randip Gill is a Research Associate Methodologist at the Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP) in the School of Population and Public Health at UBC.
Randip’s research focuses on the role that risk factors can have on the development of children. Currently, this includes work examining how exposures such as poverty are associated with future mental health and academic outcomes for children and youth. In addition, Randip’s work focuses on how these early risk factors might embed biologically, for example through epigenetic modification.
Randip’s research draws from large-scale linked datasets, including parent-, student- and teacher-reported survey data as well as administrative health and education data.
Randip completed his PhD in Population and Public Health in the Faculty of Medicine at UBC, as well as a postdoctoral research fellowship at HELP.
