CALL FOR PODIUM PRESENTATIONS AND POSTERS

ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM ON ENVIRONMENTAL, OCCUPATIONAL AND PUBLIC HEALTH

Semiahmoo Resort (Blaine, WA)         January 9th and 10th, 2014

It’s time to start planning for the annual Semiahmoo Symposium.  This is a joint meeting of the University of Washington (School of Public Health - Dept of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences & Dept of Health Services); University of British Columbia (School of Population and Public Health); Simon Fraser University (Faculty of Health Sciences); and University of Victoria (Dept of Public Health and Social Policy) and is a great opportunity for cross border conversations and collaborations.

This intimate conference provides faculty and students a forum to share new ideas and current or evolving research through plenary sessions, short (20-minute) podium presentations, posters, small group discussions, and socializing.  On Thursday, there will be 3 concurrent tracks focused on Occupational Health, Environmental Health, or general Public Health, followed by a joint poster session.  Friday will present panels and special interest discussions.

If you are interested in presenting a poster, a podium paper, or coordinating a small group discussion, please email a suggested title and brief description (including whether it is occupational, environmental or public health focused) to the contact for your University (noted below) by no later than November 8th.  Presentations are open to faculty and students; research presented need not be completed for participation in this conference.  The planning committee will notify you by November 27th whether your submission has been selected for a podium or a poster presentation.

Submit presentation, poster, or small group discussion descriptions to:
