Khishigbayar Tsogbadrakh is a Research Associate and works with Kinwa Bluesky and Prof. Mariana Brussoni to support Indigenous data sovereignty. Within her role, Khishigbayar contributes to bringing equity to HELP’s data and knowledge sharing processes, and supports research and evidence-based decision making to improve the health and well-being of First Nations, Inuit and Metis children. She holds a PhD in Educational Studies from McGill University in Canada, preceded by an MA in Cultural & Educational Policy Studies with a concentration in Comparative and International Education at Loyola University Chicago. Prior to joining HELP, Khishigbayar worked as a national consultant for a number of technical assistance projects implemented by international development organizations in Mongolia, including the Asian Development Bank and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. Many of the technical assistance projects were targeted towards improving the social and economic well-being of populations in low-resource settings in Mongolia. Her research areas of interest include supporting and strengthening Indigenous research and development in Canada, Northeast Asia, and beyond. In her spare time, Khishigbayar can be found walking and hiking in the nature or sightseeing in Vancouver, a city which has always been regarded as one of the most beautiful places to live.
