Denise Lacerte is a proud Dakelh women who belongs to the Cariboo Clan at Nadleh Whut’en First Nation in northern British Columbia. Born to George Lacerte and the late Betty Lacerte, Denise celebrates her mixed heritage, Carrier, French, English and Scottish. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child and Youth Care and has dedicated her career to the betterment of children and Indigenous people. Denise is a passionate leader and champion of Indigenous Early Years. Since 2005, she has been working with at home and away from home communities in child and family wellness.

Denise is raising her charming, kind-hearted daughter Kenzie who’s laugh will warm anyone’s heart. Denise also has two adult children Suzanna & CJ & five beautiful grandchildren Ellie, Ada, Ryder, Calum, and Kiah.

Denise works at First Nations Health Authority as the Senior Specialist, Healthy Children and Youth, on the Mental Health and Wellness Team. Denise has been an active ASC member since 2015.
