Duane Jackson

Duane Jackson is from the Gitanmaax of the Gitxsan Nation. He recently completed the Early Childhood Education Program at the First Nations Training and Development Centre. Duane has been working with young people as a basketball coach for the past twenty-five years and his passion for developing well rounded individuals both on and off the court was acknowledged when he was the recipient of the 2006 Aboriginal Coach of the Year by the Aboriginal Sports and Recreation Association of BC. Duane is now channeling his passion and enthusiasm for youth for early childhood development as the Regional Aboriginal Coordinator with the ECD initiative, Success by 6.
