Developmental Trajectories

Developmental Trajectories is a program of research that makes use of state-of-the-art population-based, person-specific, longitudinal child and youth developmental trajectories data linkages which have been created to promote opportunities to investigate factors that support or undermine children's health and development across the early life course. Making use of these linked data, HELP is exploring the emergence of systematic differences in children's trajectories that have been identified across neighbourhoods and other subpopulations in British Columbia. In terms of policy and practice, our research stands to provide evidence to guide governance and program development, and to assist in reducing gaps in patterns of children's health and development -- not only in British Columbia, but around the world.
