Fourth Wave of EDI Data Now Available for B.C. Communities

Early Development Instrument (EDI) data is now available. The EDI is a population-level research tool developed to measure the state of children’s development as they enter Kindergarten. The data are collected by the Human Early Learning Partnership (HELP), an early child development research institute based at the University of British Columbia. The data are summarized into easy to read maps, graphics and reports that provide policy makers, researchers, service providers and community members with a better understanding of how socio-economic and community factors influence children’s health and development.
